About the Author
Koreena Lopez is a multidisciplinary artist, writer, and educator based in Houston, Texas. She is the founder of Art of Koreography Publishing, a creative press dedicated to celebrating stories rooted in imagination, movement, and connection. With a master’s degree in Dance Studies and years of experience in arts education, Koreena blends poetic storytelling with visual metaphors to reach children and communities in meaningful, transformative ways. Her debut book, Camila’s Solar System Family, uses a whimsical, space-themed metaphor to explore family bonds and self-discovery. When she’s not writing or creating, Koreena enjoys traveling, curating experiences, and dreaming up new ways to empower others through faith, story and art.
